Bath’s Milsom Quarter initial proposals

The Bath Alliance for Transport and Public Realm gives broad support to the Council’s initial Milsom Quarter proposals (deadline for comment dated 31st May 2024), particularly to the ‘Milsom Quarter public space’, which includes a public space in front of St Michael’s Church with much reduced traffic.  This would be a great public realm improvement.  The document includes an ‘Indicative Movement Strategy’, which is satisfactory as far as it goes but is limited to the immediate area.  This should be considered in relation to the Journey to Net Zero (JNZ) plans for a city centre Liveable Neighbourhood and as part of a wider traffic movement plan for the city.
